Every year, thousands of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo stay home due to a lack of school supplies or fees. The "Back to School 2026–2027" campaign aims to equip the orphaned children and children living with albinism that we support, so that none of them are deprived of an education.
For many of the families we support, the start of the school year is a dreaded time: the price of a uniform or a schoolbag is enough to decide whether a child will go to school this year or not.
We have chosen to focus our efforts on orphaned children and children living with albinism, who are doubly vulnerable: the former have lost the support of their parents, the latter face stigmatization and specific health needs that weigh heavily on the family budget.
Our approach is simple and verifiable: a complete kit hand-delivered to each child, in the presence of families and school officials, with monitoring of schooling throughout the year.

School supplies
Notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers and basic supplies for the whole year.
Schoolbags
A sturdy bag, suitable for the child's age and for walking.
Uniforms
Full uniform in accordance with the establishment's regulations, required for entry into class.
School fees
Registration fees will be covered for the most vulnerable cases.
School protection
Hats, long sleeves and cream for children living with albinism.
Academic monitoring
Support and guidance throughout the academic year.
